We invite you to come and share in this awe-inspiring event to learn how you can be involved in becoming helpers in the face of this epidemic. “Together we can be part of the solution through education and awareness!”

Social Model Recovery Systems envisions a world where communities can   pursue social, economic, educational, and spiritual wellness free from alcohol, other drugs, and mental health problems

Jodi Barber, Prevention Advocate

Jodi is a fulltime Substance Use Disorder prevention advocate. Her volunteer work encompasses everything from helping pass legislation that provides legal protection for people to call 911 if they witness an overdose, to appearing on national television shows to speak about drug abuse prevention. Her most important work is educating our youth and avoiding drug addiction through the short documentary she produced called Overtaken.

Colin Womer,  HSW, CATC, Project Coordinator Drug-Free Anaheim

Under Mayor Tom Tait’s City of Kindness initiative, Colin with Social   Model Recovery Systems, the City of Anaheim, and the Anaheim Police Department, have sought a collaboration where community members seeking help for addiction can walk into the police station and voluntarily ask for, and receive, treatment.
