Multimedia Specialist

Program Objectives

You will be taught by industry experts at InterCoast, and become knowledgeable in a number of media elements. In turn, this will give you the know-how to deliver those designs appropriately through a mix of computer hardware and software components.


Our goal is to help you meet the demands of your new employer or client, who will look to you for your creative expertise and project management skills.

The curriculum includes instruction in:

  • Graphic Design
  • Digital Photography
  • Photo Retouching
  • Flash Animation
  • Banner Ad Creation
  • GUI Design
  • Web Production
  • Digital Video Production
  • Lighting Techniques (outdoor, studio and green screen)
  • Audio Editing
  • Podcast Creation
  • Video Editing and Effects

As a student, you will develop design skills using the Adobe Creative Suite 5 software; which includes Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Acrobat 9, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Fireworks, and Audition.

These, and many other software packages will permit the Multimedia Specialist to collaborate with writers, marketers, producers, and sound engineers, to promote a final product successfully.
